Regional Gathering
The Congress wants to be a space for worker leaders to come together and think big together – think about how to connect regional and local work to national and international strategy and to have a space to build relations and support each other.
The Congress plans to support regional meetings across the country, as member organizations step up to express interest and need. Members in a region may decide to sponsor an exchange of workers from different sectors within their local region or state, host a town hall or meeting with a government agency (DOL) and invite other sectors to present and participate.
We encourage regions to have regular communication and when possible host a gathering to allow members to have direct contact with each other. The UWC may be able offer funds for travel and logistics support.
